Applications Now Open for Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation Scholarships
The Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation is proud to announce that applications are now open for three new scholarship opportunities! These scholarships were created to honor the legacy of those who serve and support the next generation of students and future law enforcement professionals.
Three Scholarship Opportunities
Applicants may be eligible for one of three scholarship categories:
Gold Star Memorial Scholarship
The Gold Star Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Illinois State Police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and supports their families as they pursue educational opportunities.
General Legacy Scholarship
The General Legacy Scholarship supports eligible members of the Illinois State Police family and helps continue the Foundation's commitment to those connected to the agency and its tradition of service.
Law Enforcement Career Scholarship
The Law Enforcement Career Scholarship is intended to support students pursuing an education and future career in law enforcement, helping encourage the next generation of public safety professionals.

Scholarship Application Dates
The first application period is open now through November 30, 2026.
If you are unable to apply during the first window, a second application period will be available from February 1 through June 1, 2027.
