Our 1951 ‘Shoebox’ Ford Deluxe Fordor is currently the eldest and most beloved member of the Vintage Fleet. It has been with the foundation since its inception in late 2000. Painstakingly restored by an ISP Trooper, sold to the department, and eventually bequeathed to us in honor of our mission to preserve and present the history of the Illinois State Police. The vehicle is powered by a 239 cubic inch flathead V8 producing 100 horsepower, backed by a classic ‘three-on-the-tree’ standard transmission.
